Norfolk Peer Support Groups

It is not unusual to get lost in the day-to-day noise of running a business, too busy working IN the business and not enough time working ON the business; it can kill your creativity.

Running a business is challenging; it requires different skills than those needed when starting the business. You will learn new skills as the company grows, and over time, you will build knowledge and gain a wealth of experience.

However, knowing if there is a better way of doing things is not easy. Who can you have those conversations with? The only people who really understand are those in similar positions, business owners and managers who face the same day to day challenges and want to develop the skills to become better leaders.

Many people have experienced the benefits of sharing thoughts and ideas within a group. This is especially important in business, where people can often feel isolated. Gatherings such as this are often referred to as Mastermind Groups.

Our group is known as

‘Those Who Lead’.

“There are leaders, and there are those who lead. Leaders hold a position of power or influence. Those who lead inspire us.” — Simon Sinek

How it works

Those Who Lead is a group of like-minded business owners who meet monthly to talk about the businesses and their challenges and frustrations. It is a space in which you can learn from your peers’ experiences, and they can benefit from your knowledge, too.

More importantly, it is a place where you will find inspiration.

‘Those Who Lead’ is where you can:

  • Develop your leadership style based on your personality, business culture, the industry you serve and your future ambitions
  • Learn the skills needed to manage your business, including people management, financial management, technology, sales and marketing
  • Strategic planning – stepping back from the business to see the bigger picture and realise your vision
  • Listen to experts on subjects such as employment law, financial regulation, legal updates, and technology
  • All the things that fall between the cracks yet are important to running a successful business
